Automatic Redundancy Switching Analog Source

Automatic (3) Video and Stereo Audio

The RSS-2B station is designed to switch automatically between three (3) Video and Stereo (Left/Right) Audio input feeds based on video “Sync” level and audio presence. It monitors both primary and secondary video inputs, with optional audio monitoring. It incorporates adjustable Threshold levels with built-in Hysterisis for each input being monitored for automatic switching, with adjustable delays for switchover & switch back.

    Automatic 2X1 Video switches

The RSS-2B4.5 chassis incorporates two independent automatic 2X1 Video switches with separate 4.5MHz Audio inputs for video-follow switching. The RSS unit is typically used for the redundancy of Broadcaster Digital and Analog TV channels received at the CATV Headend or remote receiving sites. It can also be used for community & PEG channel automation and channel sharing.

Automatic (5) Video and Stereo Audio

The RSS-4Eng station is designed for automatic switching between five (5) Video and Stereo (Left/Right) Audio input to a single output. The RSS station monitors independently video “Sync” level of four (4) external inputs for its automatic switching operation. In the absence of video at all inputs, the RSS switches to the internal SMPTE Color Bar and dual audio-tone generators. A fifth (external) input is available to replace (on command) the internal generators as the Default input.

    (2X1) automatic video switch

The RSS-2AV chassis incorporates two independent (2X1) automatic video switches with separate stereo-audio +SAP follow inputs. It is designed to provide redundancy to TV channels received over fiber & other transport links in multi-channel redundancy applications.

    2X1 Automatic Broadband RF switch

The RSS-3RV chassis incorporates three (3) independent 2X1 automatic Broadband RF switches, with a separate video input for each switch module, to monitor the main input video Sync (optional Black) level for its automatic switching operation.

    6X1 Automatic Broadband RF switch

The RSS-6AV chassis incorporates six independent (6X1) automatic video switches with separate stereo-audio, plus SAP audio-follow. It is designed to provide redundancy to TV channels received over fiber & other digital transport links in multi-channel redundancy applications. It is versatile with the monitoring capabilities to provide redundancy to digital transport channels, for which video sync monitoring is not adequate.
